Under the European ERDF-ESF+ 2021–2027 Programme, Action Sheet 1.1.13 “Support for Réunion’s integration into the European Research Area (ERA), the Indian Ocean region and international networks,” the beneficiary undertakes to carry out the following operation, financed by the ERDF:

“PRISME: Rectenna Performance — Innovation, Simulations, Materials and Energy”

This operation aims to design devices (rectennas) capable of capturing ambient electromagnetic waves (Wi-Fi, television, mobile telephony) and converting them into direct-current electrical energy, to power sensor networks wirelessly and without batteries.

The PRISME project is funded by the European Union to the amount of €171,498.26 under the ERDF-ESF+ Réunion programme, whose Managing Authority is the Région Réunion. Europe is committing to Réunion through the ERDF fund, covering 100% of the total cost of the operation.
